USA Dance Los Angeles County

Showcase News – USA Dance L.A. County currently has several youth couples scheduled peform in 2010 Ballroom Showcase Spectactular, to be held on October 2 at Culver City Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium.

 

Performing as a duet as well as in a youth ensemble will be DanceSport medal-winners Aaron Altman and Rashell Khalfin (left), both aged 10. In addition to medaling at regional and national USA Dance Dancesport competitions, Aaron and Rashell have performed on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, Good Morning America, and Good Day L.A.

 

2010 Ballroom Showcase Spectactular is USA Dance L.A. County’s annual showcase and fundraiser dance event to raise funds to support our K-12 program teaching ballroom dance to kids in econmically underprivileged parts of L.A. There are currently over 70 acts of all ages scheduled to perform during the day, and the evening Fundraiser Dance includes a professional show, prizes, and food buffet . Funds raised from this year’s event will be used to teach 5th graders at the Wadsworth and 49th St. elementary schools in South Los Angeles.

 

Tickets for the both the daytime showcase and evening fundraiser dance can be purchased online and are fully tax-deductible.  Please support our efforts to encourage more youths to take up ballroom dancing.
