As you may know, USA Dance is an all-volunteer national organization. At the local level, chapter volunteers host social dances; organize Senior Outreach performances; connect schools to ballroom dance instruction through our K-12 program; plan and host an annual Showcase; and field volunteer teams to various community fundraisers, performances, and more.
Hosting social dances is key to the USA Dance community. Every dance needs people to help set up, man the front desk, serve as dance hosts, purchase and deliver food and water, perform, and clean up. Our current chapter policy is to offer free admission to up to ten volunteers per event. In order to ensure that we can actually carry out our events, we need our volunteers to be confirmed in advance.
Please mark your calendars with the upcoming USA Dance scheduled events, and let us know if you think you can help. We will be happy to provide you with information about our procedures. We do our best to ensure that volunteers have ample time to enjoy our events, even when they’re on duty. Contact any Board member for more information.
There are many other ways to volunteer with USA Dance. These can be as complex as program design or as simple as printing and distributing flyers for our events. We need YOUR help to make our chapter’s events bigger and better!
