USA Dance L.A. County Invited to Perform in Tournament of Roses Parade!

USA Dance Los Angeles County was recently approached by The California Clock Company — that’s right, the manufacturer of the famous “Kit-Cat” clock! — to perform on their float in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade on January 2 in Pasadena, CA!

The float theme is “Timeless Fun for Everyone.” It will feature a giant 24 ft fully functional Kit-Cat surrounded by a CA themed 50s diner, and a larger than life jukebox that our dancers will be dancing to!

So just how did this come about?

Turning 80 years old in 2012, Kit- Cat wanted to celebrate not only their anniversary, but the fact that their product has been American made since 1932. This made USA Dance the obvious choice when looking for a dance organization to partner with!

According to Kit-Cat representative David Milburn, “USA Dance is the only organization that we have reached out to for partnership on this project. We felt that USA Dance embodied what we wanted in a partner with your focus on promoting dance in the US, building communities around the sport, and plain and simple having fun. We hope to primarily partner with local USA Dance chapters, as well as USA Dance as a whole.”

USA Dance will be participating not only in the parade, but in pre-parade events & activities, as well as the post-parade show on January 3.
