DanceSport Athletes Aaron Altman & Rashell Khalfin to be Featured in 2012 Rose Parade

Congratulations to Junior DanceSport athletes Aaron Altman (12) and Rashell Khalfin (11), who will represent USA Dance on the California Clock Company’s Kit-Cat Float in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena.

Aaron and Rashell are 10 Dancers and and compete at championship level in Junior I in both Latin and Standard. They placed 2nd in Junior I Latin Champ and 1st in Junior I Standard Champ at both Emerald Ball and Palm Desert Classic Championships.

In 2008 Aaron and Rashell performed on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars Junior competition, winning their Under 9 category and were also invited to perform on Good Morning America. Aaron and Rashell also represented USA Dance performing on Good Day LA on FOX in 2010.
Aaron and Rashell perform at many community events, including California State Fair in Sacramento in September 2009 and USA Dance Showcase fundraisers in 2010 and 2011. In the last 2 years they also performed for the kids in 49th Street and Wadsworth Avenue Elementary schools that are part of USA Dance Los Angeles County chapter K-12 Program and were featured on the cover of American Dancer Nov 2011 issue.

Outside of dancing, they take their school seriously; both are A students and members of the The National Junior Honor Society. Rashell also plays the piano and Aaron studies Ju-Jitsu.
