Showcase

Since 2008, USA Dance Los Angeles County has hosted an annual performance Showcase.  This event provides an opportunity for our members and friends to show off their dance skills in a friendly, informal environment – no judging!  Our entrants range from adult and junior groups to pro-am and amateur couples.  This event is open to all – you do not have to be a member of USA Dance to participate.

For 2012, we are expanding the Showcase to include a new competitive element.  Our CHALLENGE event will provide an opportunity for amateur-amateur couples (whether DanceSport Athlete members or just doing it for fun) to compete in up to six dances in each of four age divisions.

Registration forms are available now, so that you can plan ahead.  Registration opens August 1.  We have FOUR registration forms this year: one for groups; one for Amateur/Amateur duets; one for Pro/Am duets; and one for the CHALLENGE.  Send your questions to Alexandra at dancesport@usadancela.org.

As with all our events, we need volunteers to help run the Showcase and Challenge.  As always, we are offering complimentary admission to certain volunteers who can commit in advance.  Here is a description of the various positions. Also, as in the past, we will be producing a souvenir program.  Last year we produced a large program at a high cost, which many attending chose not to purchase.  This year we are producing a smaller program that we can afford to give away.  Advertising and Sponsorships are available.  If you have a product or service that would be of interest to our membership and friends, or if you would like to support a studio, instructor, or team – take a look at our low rates.
