Membership
With over 500 members, USA Dance Los Angeles County Chapter 4031 is currently the largest USA Dance chapter in the Western United States.
While USA Dance, Inc. has secured some sponsors (including Swarovski) at the National level, individual membership dues fund the majority of our National organization’s efforts and provide many benefits to dancers throughout the United States.
One of the greatest benefits of membership in USA Dance is simply being an active participant in and supporter of this dynamic and effective leader, promoter and supporter of ballroom dancing. We grow closer every year to seeing DanceSport included in the Olympic Games – a primary goal of our organization since its inception.
Specific benefits our members enjoy at the local level are:
- Discounts on admission to all USA Dances, as well as many social dances and dance classes offered by local studios and instructors;
- Subscription to American Dancer, the official magazine of USA Dance.
Membership dues for Social Dancers are only $25/year. Many members dance so often that their social membership is “paid for” by the discounted admissions they receive!
Membership dues go to the National organization, where the collected funds go to support the bi-monthly American Dancer magazine; scholarships for our championship athletes to travel and compete around the world; and the National Championship events, among other things. National also manages music licensing fees and insurance for chapters, and inclusion in the AccessDance network for chapter websites.
