Felix Chavez Honored at June 24 Dance
At our July 24, 2011 dance, USA Dance Los Angles County honored Felix Chavez for his lifetime of achievements in social dance, as a dancer, instructor, and choreographer. Over 150 people attended the function, many of whom participated in an Argentine Tango lesson from Felix.
Afterward he was presented with the award by USA Dance Los Angeles County President, Herbert McGurk.
Felix later sent the USA Dance Los Angeles County Board of Directors a thank-you letter, stating,
“The promotion of Dance as an Art as well as a Social Interchange has been a lifetime purpose and effort of mine-albeit personally rewarding and joyous to me. To be recognized by your prestigious Organization with a Lifetime Achievement Award is a reminder that it was well worth the effort and dedication thereto. I am humbled and yet proud to have been the recipient of this award. I shall treasure it.”
