Here is more info:
Auditioning dancers can come with a partner, or alone; they must bring appropriate ballroom dancing shoes, wear slim, comfortable pants for men, tights and/or flowing skirt above the ankle for women; we recommend bringing water, a piece of fruit and a small towel. If you don’t have a photo and resume, be prepared to have your photo taken at the audition and fill out our Audition Form.
We are looking for intermediate WALTZ and basic VIENNESE WALTZ ability and knowledge. Any performance or competition experience is an asset, but NOT NECESSARY. Be prepared to be at the auditions for a maximum of 3 hours to sign in, get a number, fill out the forms, get a photo taken, and dance with different partners. (Hopefully it will be less). You be asked to dance all together, just like at a ball, with music playing. Then you’ll be broken out into smaller groups where we’ll change around partners…etc. Then you will be asked to follow some simple choreography relevant to the actual piece you’ll be performing in the show.
