Meet our 2010-2011 Board of Directors!

David Spetner
David Spetner, President – David is serving his 3rd term on the USA Dance L.A.C. board of directors, and this time as our President. He is also in charge of our dances and hopes to continue making USA Dance L.A.C. a vital, growing place welcome to all ballroom dancers.
Herbert McGurck, Vice President – Herb successfully served on our 2008-2009 board as Treasurer, where as a real estate associate, he used his skills to manage our funds. Back for a second term as Vice President, Herb says that continuing to serve gives him an opportunity to build creative ballroom dance programs in the community.
Reina Bibber, Treasurer – Reina has many years of professional business experience including serving on the board of a non-profit organization. After taking a 6-week class at a local college, she fell in love with ballroom dancing!
Judith Searl, Secretary – Judith is the author of 5 published books and has served on the board of the International Enneagram Association and was President of its So Cal chapter. Judith brings both her leadership and writing skills to the board.
Jerry Hernandez, Dance Hosts – Jerry has been dancing for more than 10 years. He is enrolled in a Ballroom Teacher Training Program and hopes to teach ballroom dancing to young and old dancers.
Winnie Carnegie, Member at Large – Winnie has over 50 years of experience in leadership roles and has won many awards for her service. Winnie uses her experience to promote the mission of USA Dance to the best of her ability.
Livia Squires, Public Relations Dir. – Livia served on the 2008-2009 board as Director of Public Relations and is continuing her efforts. Her expertise has been instrumental in bringing media attention to our organization, and her creative ideas have helped grow the membership.
Marilyn Tucker, Member at Large – Marilyn has been dancing for 2 1/2 years and is hooked! She formerly served as a coordinator for our Senior Outreach Program. She says the joy she helped bring to senior citizens was priceless. As a board member, she is broadening her involvement in the dance community.
Charles Edelsohn, Member at Large – Charles has been a social ballroom dancer for most of his life. He has taught ballroom to kids in his neighborhood! He is also a professional engineer and retired scientist for Hughes Aircraft. As a board member, Charles mission is to help the chapter grow.
Nancy Rincon, Member at Large – Nancy is a psychotherapist involved in community service as it relates to women and teenagers. She finds social dancing relaxing and fun. Nancy supports the goals of USA Dance and it is important to her to reach out to young people through dance.
Dave Pierce, Member at Large -Ballroom dancing has become a passion for Dave. Serving on the board would provide him an opportunity to “give back” to the community and our organization.
